Ms. Walsh has been involved in various facets of the real industry since 1985. She began her real estate career as a realtor in a family owned real estate development company in the Boston area and later became an appraiser specializing in ocean front estates and historical properties. She was a member of the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

Monica Walsh opened M. Walsh & Associates in 1992 in Chicago. She is an Illinois Residential Certified Appraiser, member of Women in Real Estate, and is an active member of (ICAP)Illinois Coalition of Appraisers. She studied Residential Design and Renovation at the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia College, and extensive real estate appraisal courses nationwide over the past 22 years.
